A very hilarious Twitter account in the Blimp's name is live-tweeting its escape.

Anyone who's been on the water in the middle to upper Bay has seen the blimps hovering what seems like miles above ground. They're high tech military blimps that are being used by the Pentagon for research, but there has been some disagreement as to just how effective they are.
Earlier today, one of the two blimps broke free of its mooring just before noon today. The blimp is currently floating over Pennsylvania at about 16,000 feet, with F-16 fighter jets monitoring it from an Air National Guard base in Atlantic City, NJ. The blimp is 243 feet long, and is trailing approximately 6,700 feet of cable behind it.
Suffice it to say that the blimp's owners love it very much and desperately want to ensure its safe return. If you see it, don't go near it, just call 911.
