Around the PropTalk office we're used to boat restoration projects to be a little more, well, demure. But a new television show  has caught our attention and has us thinking out loud about what fun we could have dragging pontoon boats out of swamps. Check out the before and after: The show is called Flipping Ships, and it stars Edwin McCain, who is best known for his work on the musical rom-coms of the 1990s. The pop singer is leaving the ballads behind and is instead getting into the boat restoration (and renovation) business with a shop called Boats Have Souls, and Flipping Ships chronicles some of their makeovers. Boats Have Souls doesn't take on any restoration projects that you'd find in our Boat Shop reports, though. They seek out and find abandoned vessels to turn into "nautical masterpieces." In this episode, a pontoon boat becomes the party barge for a couple of Clemson tailgait fans.
