It started out as a peaceful evening paddle session for 56-year old David Seafolk-Kopp, a Reston, VA resident who keeps his kayak on Bodkin Creek in Pasadena. But it turned serious when he noticed a bonfire on the beach, and then realized there was a red dot on his stomach. Seafolk-Kopp  heard a shot, and then realized the bullet had pierced his abdomen. He wasn't found until 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, when he managed to get back to the Park Road area where he had launched the boat and residents helped him. There is no motive involved, and police are currently looking for evidence at the site of the bonfire for leads. More from WBAL-TV in Baltimore...
